Initial Disclosure Document
The Financial Conduct Authority is the independent regulator of financial services. The Financial Conduct Authority require us to provide you with a document called an ‘Initial Disclosure Document’. This document provides information about us, the products we offer, the services we will provide, what we charge for our services, who regulates us, what to do if you have a complaint and details about the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
What services do we provide?
We will provide you with either comparable details of firms most appropriate to your lending or purchase requirements or general information relating to finance products. In assessing your requirements, we may seek such information about your personal circumstances and objectives as might be relevant in order to enable us to identify your needs. It is important that you provide us with accurate and relevant information. You will not receive advice, or a recommendation from us, but we may ask questions to narrow down the selection of firms offered, from which you can more easily make your own choice if you so wish.
Whose products do we use?
As an FCA regulated credit broker, we can introduce you to a range of lenders who may be able to help you finance your vehicle and provide other products/services.
Do we charge for our services?
Mercury Vehicle Solutions Ltd T/a Carleasing-online are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We are a credit broker and not a lender.
As an FCA regulated broker, we are required to provide, upon request from our customers, details in relation to the commissions and/or incentives earned by our firm in completing your transaction for any of our products or services.
As part of our Treating Customers Fairly policy, we are happy to disclosure details of any financial considerations gained by the firm in completing your transaction with us.
It should be noted that we are primarily a FEE BASED organisation. This means we will directly charge you, the customer, a fee for our services and administration work. These are clearly highlighted on or quotes and orders and may vary
We may be paid a commission by the finance provider on commencement of the agreement.
The commission we receive will vary and is controlled by the lenders commission arrangements.
At Carleasing-online, we feel it is important to be open and transparent with our customers and we are obliged to disclose the existence of commission because:
- It could act as an undue incentive to recommend a particular product
- It may affect our independence and potentially give rise to a conflict of interest when offering suitable products to customers
- Knowing about the commission may have a material impact on a customer’s decision
- It may impact the amount a customer will pay as we have a variety of commission schemes, both fixed and variable
Commissions/incentives and other financial considerations may only be applicable if:
Funders and/or manufacturers directly offer to cover customer fee’s (whether entirely or part thereof) to promote a specific offer(s) or promotion(s). In these cases, the financial consideration received from that particular funder/manufacturer, will represent our commission/financial consideration.
Funder and/or manufacturers directly offer to us incentives and/or volume related bonuses for selling their products and services.
In either of these instances, you are entitled to request details of the commissions/incentives/considerations received by Carleasing-online.com in relation to your transaction.

Car Leasing Online is a trading style of Mercury Vehicle Solutions Limited. Mercury Vehicle Solutions Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our firms reference number is 654819. Other services we offer are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority however the Financial Ombudsman Services has now been extended to handle some complaints under the Consumer Credit Act.
